나의 새로운 취미생활 버섯 채취.
플로리다에서 워싱턴주로 이사온지 3개월.
가을철 새로운 취미활동으로 버섯산행을 택했다.
낚시밖에 할 수 없었던 플로리다에서 워싱턴주로 오니 낚시 플러스 조개, 버섯 채취도 즐길거리.
하지만 미국 어디나 그렇듯이 이렇게 자연에서 취미 활동을 즐기려면 관련 규정(법)을 잘 알아야 한다.
조사해 봤더니 이곳 워싱턴주의 삼림 중 대부분이 National Forests 이다.
이곳에는 3개의 National Park이 있고 그 주위에 7개의 National Forest들이 있는데 면적이 대단하다. 그리고 관리가 잘 돼 우거진 삼림이 그대로 보존돼 있다.
워싱턴 기후의 특성상 습기가 많아서 버섯이 잘 자라는 것 같다.
이 7개의 National Park들이 각각 규정이 살짝씩 다르다. 각 National Forest를 관리하는 부서마다 규정을 달리하는 것 같다.
이곳 워싱턴주에서 버섯 산행을 하려면 우선 이 7개의 National Forest별 버섯채취 관련 규정을 알아야 한다.
