현장에서 배우는 영어 - Pot Luck Lunch

엊그제 한 동료가 이메일을 돌렸습니다.

Holiday 시즌을 맞이해서 Pot Luck Lunch 를 한다는 안내 메일인데요.

여기서 Holiday 는 크리스마스를 전후한 연말을 말하는 거죠.

대개 추수가사절에서 연말까지가 Holiday 시즌이라고 말합니다.

Pot Luck party 는 각자 음식을 준비해 가지고 와서 부페처럼 차려 놓고 음식을 나눠 먹는 파티를 말하구요.

이번의 Pot Luck Lunch 는 저에게는 두번째 인데요.

지난번엔 어떻게 해야 되는지 잘 몰라서 빈손으로 갔었는데.. 이번엔 잘 준비해서 갈 생각이예요.

어떤 한국 음식을 할지 고민중입니다. (제가 고민 하는거 아니지만... ^^)

Hi everyone,

Please join us for a Holiday Pot Luck Lunch on Friday December 21st.

Please bring an appetizer, entrée, desert or soft beverages and enjoy a little break and each other’s company during the Holiday!

Please just email me when you know what you are going to bring and I will keep the running list. 

I am looking forward to trying lots of new foods and seeing everyone.

Also, I have captured everyone in IT under the 3N mail zone so if you know of anyone on our floor that I missed please feel free to forward this invite as they are welcome.
